PRC Staff Update

Dear Friends,

One of the great pleasures of working at the PRC is connecting to leaders who live and work in our community and our churches. Another pleasure is the opportunity to work alongside PRC staff, who are also leaders in their denominations and communities.

STAFF CHANGES
Many of you know Heather Brickner, who joined the PRC this last spring as a staff consultant. Heather is a licensed pastor in the Brethren in Christ (BIC) denomination. She and her husband, Micah, moved to Lancaster to plant a house church, Branch and Vine. While Heather has had a lot of support from her bishop and the denomination, her role as a pastor has been unpaid.

This fall, Heather received a call from her bishop, offering her a full-time, paid position to begin immediately, serving Branch and Vine. This was obviously an opportunity for her that was too good to turn down.

While this transition was unexpected for all of us, we are delighted that Heather was given this opportunity. We're also happy that Heather will remain connected to the PRC by leading two workshops for us this winter. She will also be available on a part-time basis as a consultant to work with churches, particularly those who are looking for help with adult discipleship.

Additionally, we have promoted Erin Hershey to PRC Program Director. Kimberlee Peifer, Associate for Contemplative Prayer and Practice at St. James Episcopal Church will be joining the PRC part-time (through a partnership with St. James that we'll be announcing in more detail soon). In the new year, we expect to add another staff person who will focus on children and adult discipleship as well.
