Piercing Word has a tour team in Eastern Texas right now, touring churches and organizations in the Houston and Dallas areas. We were able to visit Church partners North Shore Church and Champion Forest Baptist Church. Special performances of Sermon on the Mount: The Musical and Jonah were done for several smaller groups, too, including a homeschool group, small group for the deaf (with interpreters!), and a mom's bible study group. In Dallas, the team performed for about 300 homeless men at Union Gospel Mission. When Aaron gave an invitation to respond to the gospel at the end of the performance, two men came to know Christ and over ten men recommitted their lives to Christ! This Sunday, the team will perform at Green Acres Baptist in Tyler, TX. The Internship will focus on the areas of Performance and Production, Leadership Development, and Spiritual Growth so as to better equip young artists to be excellent servant leaders in their churches and respective work environments.

Women of the Bible: Truth
Piercing Word will continue the Women of the Bible series with Women of the Bible: Truth. Featuring the stories of King Lemuel's mother, Mary & Martha, the Prophetess Huldah, and the Woman at the Well. This script arranged by Esther Eaton features a timeless message of how God uses truth in the lives of women both in Bible times and in the lives of women today to bring about repentance and revival through faith. Sydney Allen is back again as director. She has directed Esther and Women of the Bible for Piercing Word as well as performed in PIercing Word presentations since 2010, most recently with Grace Family Christmas. A cast of two women and one man portray these stories as vignettes. Students will get to explore acting, character development, improv and theatre games, as well as participate in daily Bible study, Scripture memorization, and rehearsals led by a staff of experienced theatre professionals. It is a day camp each weekday from 9am-5pm, held at Calvary Church in Lancaster. Campers bring a packed lunch from home and afternoon snacks are provided. Tuition also covers the cost of a camp T-shirt, as well as a ticket and transportation to see JESUS and an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour at Sight & Sound Theatres' Millennium Theatre in nearby Strasburg!
