Dear friends and family,

We are being reappointed by Eastern Mennonite Mission to serve for another 4-year term. We would love to have you join us for our commissioning service on Sunday, July 8. See the announcement below about the Sending Celebration.

We will also be at EMM's Global Fair on Saturday, July 7. We'll have a booth set up with children's activities and more information about the ministry of Bible Translation. Celebrate summer with international culture and flavor at EMM's biggest event of the year! The 23rd annual Global Fair — an open-air missions and culture festival — represents the vast scope of EMM's global presence. Each year, thousands of people meet the world through international activities: henna tattoos, African dance, friendly alpacas. And of course, the sights and scents of international food are always a big draw. Come talk to mission workers and hear their stories about God's work in different countries around the world. Every year features something new, but it's always family-friendly, fun, and interactive!

A Sending Celebration: EMM worker commissioning

A missionary never serves alone. Through prayer, finances, and friendship, a sending and supporting community is always part of the journey. You have been a valued part of our sending community, and we want to thank you for standing with us as we prepare to take the gospel to places in need of Jesus' hope.

This July, we will be commissioned to serve as missionaries with EMM. Since you have helped make this possible, we would like to invite you to the commissioning service. It will be a special time for supporters to gather around new and reappointed missionaries in prayer and watch them take this important final step before they are sent. Here are the details:

Sunday, July 8, 6:30 p.m.

Oakwood Chapel at Black Rock Retreat

1345 Kirkwood Pike, Quarryville, PA 17566

Randy Friesen, the executive director of MB Mission, will serve as the speaker, drawing on almost 30 years of experience directing short-term and long-term mission programs. The service will also include worker testimonies. Afterwards, stay to chat and say goodbyes over ice cream! Child care is not available, but children are welcome.
