- Volunteers Needed for Bookworm Frolic—Looking for a fun and interesting volunteer activity for a group from your church or for yourself? The Lancaster Mennonite Historical Society is seeking assistance with its annual Bookworm Frolic from August 15-18. We need help with moving books in the days preceding the sale, with tasks during the sale, and with clean-up on the last day. Contact Jon Weaver-Kreider at (717) 393-9745 or usedbooks@lmhs.org
- Volunteers Needed for Voices of Conscience Exhibit—Lancaster Mennonite Historical Society is looking for volunteer docents for the exhibit "Voices of Conscience: Peace Witness in the Great War," hosted at Landis Homes August 19 to September 26, from 2 to 7 p.m. on weekends and 5 to 7 p.m. on weekdays. Docents would need to monitor the exhibit and answer simple questions based on material provided. Volunteers can sign up for as little as one day.
