Kairos Course | Cursos Kairos April 18-22 | 18 al 22 de abril Kairos is a nine-session interactive study of the Purpose and Plan of God for His people and His world from Genesis to Revelation. Kairos is for all Christians at any point in their journey with God. It is not a "missions" course. It is an opportunity for all God's people to have their worldview transformed and aligned with God's heart for the nations. He has called us all to play a part in His mission, and there are many different roles to fill. The course will be offered in both English and Spanish. Kezia is from Indonesia and will be serving with both Advancement and Hub450. Beginning August 24, Kezia will need housing through mid-July 2023; preference is for housing to be in Lancaster city. The event will be part of PRC's Topic of the Year series on Housing, but this event will focus on building momentum within your church community and can be widely applied to many projects and topics. Susannah is grant writer and development consultant, specializing in fundraising for nonprofit, cooperative, and faith-based organizations. The No Longer Alone Family Support Group, now supported by Landis Communities, meets the fourth Sunday of every month. The guest speaker for April will be Loice Byler, Pastor, Inspirational Speaker and former NLAM Board Member. Her presentation on "My Story and Ministry to Others" will be followed by a time of sharing. The public meeting is scheduled for Sunday, April 24, 2022 from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. by Zoom. The monthly meetings provide a place for those who have a loved one living with mental illness to learn and share their experiences. Friday, June 3, 2022, Landis Adult Day Services will host the 31st Annual Benefit Golf Outing at Foxchase Golf Club in Stevens, PA. All proceeds from the Outing support programming and scholarships for individuals who participate in the adult day services. Landis Adult Day Services provides care for aging adults who have experienced life and health-changing circumstances and need a safe, stimulating place to go during the day. Nurses, activity coordinators, and other professionals are there to provide exceptional, dignified care. The Golf Outing is a scramble format with shotgun starts at 7:30 am and 1:00 pm. Food and drinks will be provided on the course as well as lunch or dinner after the round of golf. Participants are also eligible to receive prizes. Golfers must register before May 6, 2022. On the Back Roads from Martindale: Remembrances of Mennonite Life Local historian Darvin Martin presents portions from his book, Family Record of Lester W. Martin and Hannah Elizabeth Fisher Martin, on Thursday, April 21, 2022, at 7 pm at the Martindale Mennonite Fellowship Center. Admission is complimentary. The book and presentation will include new never-before-published family background information on the earlier ancestors of the local Martin, Fisher, and Weaver/Weber families, including photographs of many of the 144 quilts Hannah E. (Fisher) Martin created during her lifetime. This book of 650 pages and 730 illustrations will be available for purchase at the event for $35. Darvin Martin will be available to sign books after the presentation.
