Co-Laborers with God (Leader Guide | Summer 2022)

"Co-Laborers with God" is the title of the summer quarterly and the third quarter of lessons from Renew Publishing, a ministry of First Mennonite Church in Berne, Indiana. After receiving feedback from churches that have used the previous quarters, we have made some changes to the curriculum. Beginning with the summer quarter, we are including the whole scripture text in bold print in the Leader and Participant Guides in the "Examining God's Word" section. We are also including the whole scripture text in the Participant Guide at the beginning of each lesson just like it is in the Leader Guide. The Table of Contents will now list the main scripture references for each lesson. Some churches suggested having everything in the Participant Guide that is in the Leader Guide. We want churches to know that they are welcome to use the Leader Guide instead of the Participant Guide to give to class  participants.

To receive a PDF of the quarterlies, email Becky at renew@firstmennonite.org .

This material will be available for the participants at the LMC Spring Leadership Assembly on April 29!

Do you have questions about house church?
You are not alone.  Many wonder about the legitimacy of house church, how a house church maintains health, are house churches really effective in reaching the lost, who can lead a house church, and the list continues.

Join us as we explore these questions and many others.  Whether you are interested in house church or involved in house church, you will not want to miss this resource and opportunity to connect with others who are asking the same questions.

This diverse panel of practitioners is designed to give you across the board perspectives and input.  You will be asking questions from those who are currently in the trenches of leading a house church to those now leading networks of house churches.  Come with your questions!

Landis Communities Annual Clergy Breakfast will be hosted virtually this year, in partnership with the Parish Resource Center. The event will be part of PRC's Topic of the Year series on Housing, but this event will focus on building momentum within your church community and can be widely applied to many projects and topics. Held online THURSDAY, APRIL 28, 2022, from 8 AM – 10 AM, join Susannah Conner, M.Div., as she shares her unique view on the church, resource development, and the solidarity economy. Susannah is grant writer and development consultant, specializing in fundraising for nonprofit, cooperative, and faith-based organizations. Whether it's housing or another missional topic that excites your church, how do you build momentum and harness your congregation's energy to further your work? How do you get creative to find the resources needed to further your goals? And what responsibility does your congregation and the broader church have to God's economy?
