Dear Friends,
We at REAL Life Community Services have been working tirelessly to help families in need stay off the street and in their homes. In September, alone, our Eviction Prevention was up 1,500% from the same month last year! We helped a number of families with rental and utility assistance, and helped homeless find shelter in a motel for a few days until the larger County organizations had time to meet with them to move towards permanent housing. The Cocalico Ministerium was a HUGE help in keeping these families in their homes, and we can't thank you enough!
Our Early Learning Mentor Program has been a huge success! Also, our food pantry programs are serving over 110 households! We had over 12 families sign up for our Financial Literacy Program with half of them completing every class earning them a gift card to a local grocery store.
We are soon done remodeling the Royer House adding two more studio apartments, allowing two more people to be in a permanent affordable home!
We are now at a point where we need to replenish our resources, and you can help! It's very simple! All we ask you to do is share this email with your congregation members asking them to support REAL Life during the ExtraGive on November 18th! See the attached flyer!
