New Online Exhibit

What Lies Beneath: Archaeology at the 1719 Museum

Beneath the grounds of the 1719 Museum lie traces of the people who lived there long ago. This new exhibit explores how small pieces of history - from tiny ceramic sherds left by Mennonite families to stone tools used by Indigenous people - reveal fragments of everyday life across centuries.

See all of Mennonite Life's online exhibits, including What Lies Beneath, at mennonitelife.org/learn. The exhibit will be available to view in-person at the 1719 Museum this spring.
