Sometimes it takes time for truth to sink in.
That's why, when a woman or couple comes to Align facing an unintended pregnancy, we encourage them to slow down. We invite them to take time to understand their options and to consider both the hard and the beautiful realities before making a life-altering decision.
Anastasia reminds us why this matters.
A 22-year-old woman from Russia, she came to Align for a pregnancy test, unsure what she and her husband would do given their circumstances. She was 10 weeks pregnant and considering abortion.
We encouraged them to take their time and offered an ultrasound the following week. Though conflicted, Anastasia acknowledged her baby was a precious life.
That truth stayed with them.
When they returned, Anastasia asked, "May I please see the heart?"
Her husband was surprised by how big and active the baby already was. With time, truth took root. Together, they chose life.
Jesus prayed, "Sanctify them in your truth; your word is truth" (John 17:17). Truth shapes hearts over time.
