COUNTDOWN: 3 DAYS!

Weather forecast for Friday, May 8, 2026, Lancaster, PA

Friday, May 8, 2026, 5 to 8 p.m.

Theme: Looking East (featuring food from Asia as we celebrate Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month)

This event is a fundraiser for Neighbors Community Center at Hub450.

  • Afrin Market: Tarhana Soup (a yogurty stew with simmered beef that reflects the migration of Turkish peoples from Mongolia through Central Asia to Anatolia; this recipe is a very old specialty that is considered an original Turkish identity dish) contains milk, wheat, and beef

  • Aura Little Cafe: Burmese Lah-Phet Thoke (tea leaf salad) contains soy, sesame, peanuts, and tree nuts

  • Boba Thai Cafe: Chicken Chow Mein (flavorful, stir-fried noodle dish influenced by Chinese cuisine but adapted to Nepali taste–more masala, more flavor) contains chicken

  • Diyo Nepali Restaurant: Chilli Momo (crispy dumplings filled with meat and tossed in a homemade chili sauce with sauteed onions and peppers) contains soy, wheat, and meat

  • Groovy Gut LLC (serving at Neighbors Community Center): Nikumaki Onigiri (this Japanese street food is a seasoned rice ball, wrapped with thinly sliced pork belly and covered in a sweet and savory glaze) contains pork and soy

  • Himalayan Curry & Grill: Chicken Chatpata

  • Layali El Sham Middle Eastern Cuisine (serving at Neighbors Community Center): Baba Ghanoush, served with pita and fresh vegetables (classic Levantine mezze made from fire-roasted eggplant, blended until silky with garlic, lemon, olive oil, and fresh herbs) contains eggplant, garlic, and sesame

  • Neighbors Cafe: Almond Butter Thai Chicken Sampler with Red Cabbage contains soy, eggs, wheat, tree nuts, and meat

  • BONUS: Alchemy Ramen is a “customize, create, and cook your own” ramen establishment. Samples for a crowd wouldn’t taste great, so we invite you to stop by during the Taste the World tour for a quick peek; get your passport stamped to activate a $5 off voucher valid for a future range of dates.

Restaurants and menu items are subject to change. Allergens/ingredients are listed as reported by the eateries.
