Dear Friends,

I am excited to share that Dr. Todd Williams, President & CEO of Cairn University, is giving two lectures at the Garden Spot Village America @250: Faith Perspectives event in New Holland, PA! You are invited to come, hear Dr. Williams speak, and connect with friends and alumni. The lectures are free, and no registration is required.

Dr. Williams is passionate about the importance of understanding our governmental system, and the freedoms we enjoy as citizens within it. Every Cairn student takes a US Government class where the primary text is the US Constitution. This is a key part of our core curriculum, and Dr. Williams teaches that class every semester. Come hear him speak on these important topics on one or both of the following days:

  • Monday, October 12, 7 PM “Civic Responsibility: What is the Responsibility of a Follower of Christ to Civic Engagement?”
  • Monday, October 26, 7 PM “The Christian and Nationalism: Navigating Patriotism without Being Politically Ugly”

The lectures will be held in the chapel at Garden Spot Village, 433 S. Kinzer Avenue, New Holland, PA, 17557. Enter off S. Kinzer Avenue to Linden Drive, continue past the stop sign to parking lot #1. The chapel can be entered from the parking lot or through the main entrance, both in lot #1.

Arrive in time to chat with Melissa Moyer, Director of Alumni Engagement, or Graham Thorpe, VP for Advancement at the Cairn University table. Dr. Williams will stay after the lecture to greet you!

We look forward to having you join us!

Sincerely,

Liz Givens ('69)
