Happy New Year!!
May He give you the desires of your heart and all your plans succeed!  (Ps. 20:4)
December 4th-6th was a WONDERFUL weekend at Refreshing Mountain Retreat & Adventure Center!

We loved getting to see everyone that came out to zip-line through the lights, attempt the adventure course, sit by the fire with their loved ones and eat some yummy s'mores! There were over 840 cars that came through the light display within 3 days! We couldn't have asked for a better weekend celebrating the joy of the season! Thank you to all who came out and donated!
we had a great night of fun with our friends at LCBC-Ephrata, handing out Christmas presents to 90 children in our community! It was definitely a unique drive through gift pick-up with inflatables, Santa, and cookies; all COVID style! Thanks again to Cocalico Community Church, DOVE Westgate Church, Swamp Christian Church, and Courtyard Cafe for all you've done to help as well!
Anchored Ministries will be here at the Declaration House again, on Saturday, January 2nd from 9:30am to 11:30am!

They will continue to come to the Declaration House on the first Saturday of every other month from 9:30am to 11:30am.

The 2021 dates will be:

     March 6th
     May 1st
     July 3rd

GRANT FUNDED PROGRAMS FOR CHURCHES

"Every church has survivors of child sexual abuse--How do we support them?"

Protecting children and offering genuine support to survivors of sexual violence is a part of any healthy church community. Faith communities can be part of the healing process when they understand the dynamics and know how to respond. The programs below were developed to help churches in this mission.

Fwd: Our next Ministerium and a need to make you aware of

---------- Forwarded message ---------
From: <revhaws@denverstjohns.org>
Date: Sat, Nov 28, 2020 at 8:00 AM
Subject: Our next Ministerium and a need to make you aware of
Hi  Cocalico Ministerium Participants.

I would like to propose a monthly meeting for Tuesday morning, December 8 @ 8:30 am via ZOOM.  I will send the necessary links and things closer to the date.

Also . . .

I would like to pass on a need that I've been made aware through one of our Cocalico Care Center student's mother who works in the Adult Inpatient Unit for Wellspan Philhaven in Mount Gretna

She has communicated to me that due to Covid, the length of stay and condition of current inpatient residents has lengthened and been more needy.

She and staff are working extra hard to help provide holiday cheer to the patients.  Even more so than previous years, the patients our struggling and are in desperate need of basic necessities.

So she put together a "Christmas Wish List" for the unit, which generally has about 50 patients at any given time.

I let her know I'd pass it along through the Ministerium which likely has churches who have been personally connected over the years with the work and ministry of Philhaven.

Please pass the list along to your congregations if you feel it appropriate.

You can email me personally concerning dropping off any items you collect and I'll be in contact with this Philhaven staff person.

Thanks.  (Don't forget to put the meeting on your calendars and ALSO, consider the REAL Life Services First Friday food/needs collection Rod emailed you all about).

The Christmas Wish List for Philhaven includes:

  • SOCKS
  • UNDERWEAR
  • SPORTS BRAS (NO UNDERWIRE)
  • SLIDES
  • SLIPPERS (NO LACES)
  • PLAIN T-SHIRTS
