Thank you Businesses and Individuals for Shaping Lives Through Your Partnership!

Where Partnerships Matter
The Ways Businesses Help Change Lives
Dear HMS parents, ,

 Golfers at the 2017
Friends of HMS Golf Tournament.
Thanks to All Golfers and
Sponsors who joined Us!

Last Tuesday was hot and sunny on the beautiful slopes of the private LedgeRock Golf Club in Mohnton, PA. Despite the heat, our generous golfers and sponsors helped us raise over $13,000 toward student and scholarship programs at HMS!

EITC Renewal Window Open til June 30!

HMS students serve in the community each spring to assist with grounds maintenance and other service projects at local organizations.

The Educational Improvement Tax Credit program (EITC) or its companion, the Opportunity Scholarship Tax Credit program (OSTC), are two great ways to support school choice in Pennsylvania. Business gifts through these programs fund scholarships for more than half the students at HMS.

To renew participation,  you can re-apply online through June 30
at the
DCED website.

New participants should submit applications on July 3, 2017.

See this instructions fact sheet for more program and application information.  Your CPA should already be familiar with these popular tax credit programs, but if not, feel free to contact me for assistance.

Thanks for your consideration of this and other creative options that enable Hinkletown Mennonite School to impact student lives and their futures!

Gratefully yours,
Jody Fausnight
Director of Advancement

P.S.  Check out a few HMS Alumni Snapshots that tell their stories of living out God's purposes.
Nehemiah Project Fund Update

In addition to the Nehemiah Project Fund, our annual golf outing, fundraisers and auction help keep tuition affordable at HMS. All gifts are tax-deductible.
Thanks to all who have given this year toward our Nehemiah Project Fund of $131,000!  We still have $14,000 outstanding to reach our goal before fiscal year-end on June 30.  We invite you to consider a gift if you have not already done so.

As an encouragement, a friend of the school was creative in offering a $5,000 gift if we raised $10,000 of new money in June.  Thanks to those who responded recently, we met the $10,000 amount on June 19, giving a positive boost toward our overall goal!

HMS depends on the generosity of friends and supporters to help keep education affordable for families who value a small school community and strong program that applies faith and learning to life.

Venture Program Offers Unique Partnership Opportunities

The HMS Venture Program, for grades 9-12 students, will continue the faith-based, hands-on and individualized instruction that HMS is known for, plus much more!

Missions trips, internships and the chance to study at your own pace are also included in a program that will help students prepare for vocational and/or college placements.

Businesses interested in learning more about partnerships or job shadowing and internship student placements, contact Jody Fausnight, Director of Advancement (jfausnight@hmsk8.org or 717-354-7100 x1005) or Megan Ament, Venture Program Coordinator (mament@hmsk8.org or 717-354-7100).
