Building on breakfasts

Your gifts have fed schoolchildren in rural Cambodia for eight years. These free meals have increased access to education in areas where attendance was low. Now the focus can expand from access to quality, with training programs giving educators the tools they need to develop as professionals. Watch the video to see how your support helps teachers and students in Cambodia!

Cultivating local leadership in Philadelphia

Rebecca Yugga is a second-year participant in MCC's Summer Service Program, a six- to ten-week program that supports young people of color in the U.S. to develop their leadership skills through working with their local churches and communities. Rebecca first began serving at Crossroads Community Center in north Philadelphia when she was the same age as many of the youth that the program served. Read how she continues to serve others today, finds joy amidst the challenges of urban ministry, develops partnerships with other Philadelphia churches and provides local leadership to the Crossroads and north Philly community.

School prepares kids for a future away from the garbage dump

For some low-income families in Honduras, sorting garbage in the local dump is their only way to make money. Gangs in the area take a cut of workers' earnings, making day-to-day life even more difficult. Education for children seems out of reach under these challenging circumstances.

A school supported by generous people like you is changing this story. Read how your gifts are changing the lives of children in Honduras!
