An Exploration of the Teaching Position on Homosexuality Lancaster Mennonite conference and Eastern Mennonite Seminary-Lancaster are again co-sponsoring a resource event in support of the MC USA teaching position on homosexuality. Ron Sider, the Friday evening speaker will present a theological exploration and reflection on homosexuality based on a chapter from a forthcoming book. In the first session on Saturday morning, Marti Eads and Duane Yoder will team up to provide resourcing for pastoral care and relational interactions. In the final session on Saturday morning, Keith Weaver will address preparation for the MC USA Convention and the current LMC context. The registration fee of $15 per person is reduced to $10 per person when 5 or more individuals from the same congregation register together. Family History Conference "Celebrities and Cellmates:" This year's Lancaster Family History Conference focuses on finding that famous or infamous ancestor, with a keynote address by D. Children's Choir Spring Concert Series Scheduled The 150-voice Mennonite Children's Choir of Lancaster will perform its spring concerts series at the following locations: 7 p.m. Thursday, April 16, at Willow Street Mennonite Church; 6 p.m. Sunday, April 19, at Weaverland Mennonite Church, East Earl; 7 p.m. Saturday, April 25, at the Leffler Chapel and Performing Arts Center, Elizabethtown College; 4 p.m. May 3, at James Street Mennonite Church, Lancaster; 7 p.m. Saturday, May 9, at Stumptown Mennonite Church, Bird-in-Hand. Landis Homes is hosting an art reception May 5 featuring the work of a painter John Walls. "My work presents a reflection of the mystery and natural beauty of God's creation," says Walls. Nearly one million Americans live with Parkinson's disease, including folks living in this area. Parkinson's disease is chronic and progressive, meaning symptoms worsen over time. And there is not yet a cure. But there is hope in the promising research ongoing. April is Parkinson's Awareness Month.
