- TAKE THE BUS TO MWC: Ride, don't drive! Mennonite Central Committee (MCC) is contracting with Perkiomen Tours to rent two air-conditioned buses (52-passenger coaches) to provide transportation between MCC's Akron office and Mennonite World Conference (MWC) daily, July 21-25. The second bus will be available to the public IF there is enough interest. You can reserve for individual trips, or for the whole week. Buses will depart Akron at 2 p.m. Tuesday for the 4 p.m. opening service, and leave the Farm Show Complex to return at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday-Saturday buses will leave daily at 8:30 a.m. and return at 8:45 p.m. (immediately after the close of the evening program). Cost for the coach comes to $9 per person per trip, or $17 per day (two trips, going and returning), including driver gratuity. Using the bus will mean many fewer cars driving to Harrisburg that week, and you can visit, rest and read on the bus and be dropped off right at the conference entrance! We need to know your interest, and for which trips, by May 31, as buses need to be reserved by June 1. Please contact Tina Mast Burnett at MCC by May 31: TinaBurnett@mcc.org; 717-859-1151, ext. 60330.
