• Employment opportunity—Lancaster Mennonite Historical Society is seeking a half-time Used Book Sales Manager.  Primary responsibilities include planning and coordinating used book sales activities such as the four-day Bookworm Frolic, the three-day Winter Bookfest, book auctions (six per year), and online sales.  The person should have experience and training in retail sales. • Lancaster Family History Conference—The Thirty-eighth Annual Lancaster Family History Conference presents "New Arrivals in a New Land: A Tribute to Our 1717 Immigrant Families" with a keynote by John L. Ruth. It takes place from May 18-20 at the Lancaster Farm and Home Center. Register at http://www.lmhs.org/events/history-conference/.
• Bicycle Tour of Native American Sites—Catch the fresh air and learn about Native Americans in Lancaster County with a bicycle tour in the Conestoga area starting at 8 a.m. on Saturday, May 13 at the Ann LeTort Elementary School parking lot.  Manor Township was home to numerous settlements of Native Americans. Participants will explore these sites on a 16-mile bike hike. Bikers will hear storytellers talking about this saga at 14 stops along the way. Registration costs $30, $20 for students. • Music in Worship—Old Order Amish, River Brethren, Groffdale Mennonite Conference, Weaverland Mennonite Conference, with Church of the Brethren and Mennonites of Lancaster Conference and Atlantic Coast Conference, will gather at the Martindale Mennonite Fellowship Center and sing each other's favorite hymns on Thursday, May 4, at 7 pm. This evening is free and open to the public. Martindale Mennonite Fellowship Center is located at 352 Martindale Road, Ephrata, Pennsylvania.
• Basket Making Class—Learn how to make a split oak muffin basket on Saturday, May 6, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the 1719 Hans Herr House and Museum. No prior experience necessary. This class costs $50, and is due April 21. Register at www.hansherr.org or by calling (717) 464-4438.
• Barn Tour—Visit and enjoy the earliest style of Pennsylvania barns, the forebay Sweitzer, with a field trip on Saturday, June 24 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. These magnificent and medieval-like structures first took hold on the landscape circa 1750 in the Willow Street area and the immediate environs. Greg Huber will lead the tour that starts and ends at LMHS.
