And she's doing just that in the Minnesota House of Representatives. In the two plus years Abigail has been in office, she has led fellow House members in prayer before major legislative battles and whenever pro-family issues have come up for consideration. Standing for Life In 2015, Abigail learned her state did not protect the lives of babies born alive after an abortion. Despite the fact that the Minnesota governor routinely vetoes pro-life bills, Abigail championed the Born Alive Infants Protection Act—through the House, Senate and governor's desk—to become law. And when the videos showing Planned Parenthood negotiating the sale of aborted babies' body parts became public, Abigail discovered the University of Minnesota was buying baby parts from abortion clinics for medical research. She then went to work, holding the University accountable for spending tax dollars on the unethical and illegal use of aborted babies' body parts.
