This free comprehensive study is created to be self-guiding for small groups through an in-person or online (eg. Zoom) format. It includes supplementary videos as well as a teacher's guide and discussion questions. As an extra resource, members of the CMRT, who have years of experience relating to Muslims in many different contexts, are available to assist or help facilitate the study. It's no surprise that many people express frustration and confusion as they try to decide what to do about Medicare. Medicare is a valuable government program that helps retirees pay for their health care when they're no longer covered by an employer-sponsored insurance plan. But with so many choices on the menu of possibilities, it starts to feel overwhelming when the clock is running and you need to make decisions. Medicare essentials Original Medicare has two parts, A and B, that cover inpatient and out-patient medical claims, respectively. Many people also purchase a Medi-care supplement or Medigap policy to help pay for out of pocket costs associated with Medicare. Part D was added later to provide coverage for prescription drugs. Finally, Part C allows you to get your Medicare coverage through a private insurance company if you wish, also known as a Medicare Advantage plan. Open enrollment is scheduled for Oct. 15 - Dec. 7. That's when you can make changes to or enroll in a Part D prescription plan or a Part C plan. It's smart to compare how well the various Part D plans cover any medications you may take regularly.
