Virtual Panel Discussion: How has COVID-19 affected your business or professional field?

All are welcome for this virtual panel discussion about the impacts of COVID-19 on Sarasota-area people, businesses, and organizations. Our three panelists all bring distinct perspectives on the impacts of COVID-19 on our community.

Jeff Miller

Miller is Sarasota Campus Manager and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dutchman Hospitality Group, the parent company of Der Dutchman restaurant and Carlisle Inn. His wife of 26 years teaches 5th grade at Sarasota Christian School and they attend Bayshore Mennonite Church. The couple has 3 children. Jeff Miller also serves on the Board of Directors for Gator Wilderness Camp, Crossroads Farm in Hillsdale, MI, and the Tourism Development Committee for Sarasota County. 


Jim Miller II

Jim Miller is co-owner and CEO of JMX Brands, whose brand DutchCrafters is a leading retailer of Amish furniture online. JMX Brands was named a Best Place to Work in 2020 by the Sarasota Herald Tribune and has grown to more than 50 employees during the pandemic. Jim lives in Sarasota with his wife Linse. They have 4 kids and one grandson, and attend Covenant Mennonite Fellowship. 

Cindy Auchter, LCSW

Cindy Auchter is well known in the Sarasota-Bradenton mental health community. Cindy's areas of expertise working with adults, couples, and families include: sex therapy, depression, anxiety, life transitions, transgender issues, parenting, relationship issues and Dialectical Behavior Therapy, as well as speaking to a variety of groups in the community on these and other mental health topics.

Join the Sarasota hub and supporters across the U.S. and Canada and you'll leave the one-hour session with a better understanding of the pandemic's impact on both the Sarasota community and broader American business and mental health fields.
