2021 MARKS OUR 50TH ANNIVERSARY!
Introducing our new look!
In celebration of our 50th anniversary, EASS has rebranded* and modernized our logo.

And like our ad says, our programs have expanded primarily out of sheer necessity.

Between March 2020 - March 2021, EASS has added four new staff members to the team:

Lisa Eberly, Office Manager
Shelley Leister, MSW Social Worker
Sarah Holland, Case Manager
Barb Good, Meals on Wheels Director

Our Transportation fleet has increased to five vehicles and we now have nine committed drivers.

*Special thank you to Kinectiv Marketing for the concept and graphic re-design.

WHAT IS ERAP?
ERAP stands for Emergency Rental Assistance Program. Federal dollars have been funneled into Lancaster County and the Lancaster County Housing & Redevelopment Authorities is the agency managing these funds, in partnership with Tabor, Inc.

When a household asks EASS for eviction prevention help or utility assistance, EASS will help them apply to the ERAP program to cover these funds and keep them stable and in-place. Eligibility is determined:
  1. by Income level. Cannot make more than 80% of AMI
  2. must be Covid-related. Client/EASS must show that household has fallen behind due to Covid-related circumstances.
  3. by the ability to prove risk of either eviction or shut off.

If you know of a family who could benefit from this program, please refer them to EASS. Or go online to www.Lancasterhelp.rent to apply.
WAYS TO GIVE
EASS is a privately-funded nonprofit organization serving the Cocalico and Ephrata regions of Northern Lancaster County. Families in need are impacted through private donations, corporate gifts and grants. If you feel compelled, there are several ways you can donate to our growing programs:
  • Set up recurring payments on your laptop or mobile phone through our website
  • Donate a mutual fund
  • Make a gift through your will
  • Drop off or mail in a check
  • Make an annual pledge
  • Consider www.smile.amazon.com next time you place your Amazon order.
In your good name, people experiencing hunger, homelessness, poverty and disillusionment will always have a place to turn. Thank you.
