September 2021 The 2021 Fall Banquet will be  at Woodcrest Retreat's Indian Rock Center on Thursday, October 14th.  The meal will be served at 6:30 pm.  Tickets are free, but all must either be a guest of a business sponsoring a table or be pre-registered by October 1. Businesses can sponsor a table of 8 for $500 and bring their own guests.  We are so excited to have Piercing Word Ministry performing for us this year.  This will be followed by an update on REAL Life and our various ministries.    We hope to see you there! We are so excited to welcome two new employees this month.  Cha Mong Her and his wife live in East Cocalico with their 3 children.  Cha is currently finishing up his BS degree in Business Administration at LBC.  He hopes to graduate by the end of this year.  He loves to serve and it shows from the past 6 months of volunteering with REAL Life.  He has been hired as our Administrative Assistant, working with Sunny and Rod to better organize and develop our rapidly growing organization. Also, we would like to introduce Ranita Reitz, our social services intern from Lancaster Bible College.  Ranita is in her senior year at LBC and will be with us part time through the end of the academic calendar.  REAL Life Community Services works hard to find team members like Cha and Ranita who will bless this community and connect the community to Hope. Cocalico Food Pantry is now open and running for residents of the Cocalico School District who are in need of more resources.  If you are finding it difficult to make ends meet and could use help, call our offices to talk with our licensed social worker and get enrolled in our Client Choice food distribution program.  Participants can schedule monthly shopping appointments at Warehouse916.  We'd love to help you! Open to all residents of the Cocalico School District, regardless of income. REAL Life Community Services will again be participating in the Extraordinary Give.  Keep your eyes open for ways you can help us raise even more than last year's $65,000! SAVE THE DATE, 11-19-2021 BACK TO SCHOOL BASH!! August 7 was our annual Back to School Bash and, with the help of our partner, UGI, we handed out FREE backpacks and school supplies for kids in the Cocalico School District. We had a wonderful time seeing everyone that came out to our Back to School Bash this past Saturday! Thank you UGI Utilities, Inc. for having a part in supplying the items needed! Early Learning Mentor Things are really heating up this summer for the    Parent-As-Teacher program in Cocalico Community!  Here are some highlights: · Family Cooking Series · Caregiver Connection Series · Group connection focused on STEM Save the dates!!  We will be hosting a virtual group connection for our pre-k community every third Thursday of the month at 10:00am. Call Deeann to sign up 717-336-7797.   Saturday, October 16, REAL Life Community Services will be joining many other businesses downtown Denver from 9-11 am to celebrate all that our community has to offer.  There will be pumpkin painting, craft displays, and food & games to play.  Come to the Lighthouse Community Center to get your face painted by some of our Momentum volunteers & children ages 10 and under can get a free balloon.
