Dear Volunteers, Donors, and Friends,
Blessings of Hope appreciates and relies on our volunteers to fulfill the mission we have been given. Together we are bringing hope to the hungry and impacting communities to change the world! Our volunteers sort produce, repackage food into manageable sizes, stock shelves, freeze and sort food, and pack boxes for efficient distribution.
An estimated 30-40% of food produced in America is wasted, which adds up to more than 60 million tons of food wasted each year. In 2008, nearly 50 million people in America—including almost one child in four—struggled to get enough to eat. 12.5% of US households are affected by food insecurity. Blessings of Hope is a vital link in the food chain, connecting food producers with people in need. But we can't do it alone. The more volunteers willing to serve as the hands and feet of Jesus, the more neighbors can be served.
We need your help now more than ever. Only through the help of our volunteers can we produce and deliver the equivalent of 2 million meals every month, empowering regional ministries, churches, disaster relief organizations, and food banks to serve their local communities. With the help of our volunteers to date in 2023, we have distributed over 18,000,000 pounds of food. With your helping hands we could do even more!
Please ask your neighbors, friends, and family to consider volunteering their time at Blessings of Hope to continue this vital mission. Sign up for a shiftHERE using our recently upgraded, user friendly volunteer management system, Rosterfy or call 717-824-1227 ext. 1001!
