Fwd: Christ's transforming love is bringing hope to Israel

Christ's transforming love is bringing hope to Israel.
God is using EMM workers Garry and Ruth* to advance His kingdom in Israel. In the midst of the generations-old conflicts, we're beginning to see reconciliation — the peace of Jesus is changing lives. At the heart of this movement of the Spirit is the new reality of Hebrew-speaking and Arabic-speaking people learning to become brothers and sisters in the Lord.

Prior to the COVID-19 outbreak, these churches had been gathering in people's homes. Garry and Ruth feared that the lockdowns would hamper the churches' growth. House churches divided into smaller groups. In order to accommodate the sudden change, leaders began to provide training for new leaders online. Soon, it became apparent that God was making a way for continued multiplication even in adversity.

In the midst of a global pandemic, Garry and Ruth have sought to creatively connect these people through the wonders of modern technology. Using Zoom and WhatsApp, these new believers are building relationships, growing in their faith, and being discipled to share the gospel with others.

You can play a part in bringing transformation to this region and many other locations across the globe. Along with your prayers, your financial support helps EMM recruit, train, and support workers like Garry and Ruth.

In the last month of 2020, we encourage you to make a year-end gift to EMM's Impact Fund. When you give to this fund, you are helping to multiply God's impact through EMM. To support the work of EMM you can:

Fwd: Whatever Happens, I'm With You

"I'm with you."
Emma had a close relationship with her grandmother. So when she thought she might be pregnant, that's who she confided in.

"I can't be pregnant, Grandma!" Emma whispered into her phone. "Mom will kill me!"

"We'll get through this," her grandmother said. "We'll talk to your mother, and we'll get help together. Whatever happens, I'm with you."

Soon afterwards, the three of them came to us for a pregnancy test, followed by an ultrasound. Emma's grandmother waited outside because of COVID occupancy limitations.

As the profile of the baby's head and body filled the ultrasound monitor, Emma shot a glance at her mother. She expected to see anger and instead saw wonder. Emma breathed a sigh of relief, and before long the two of them were giggling and laughing at the baby's adorable movements. As they left that day, Emma's mother said, "I'll help you in every way possible."

A grandmother's support.
A mother's changed heart.
A daughter's relief.
A baby saved from abortion.

Only God.
Working in hearts.
Working through Align.
Working through your partnership.

As you celebrate the birth of Emmanuel this season — the God who says to each one of us, "I'm with you" — we invite you to join us in making His presence tangible in the lives of precious families like Emma's.

In the powerful, life-saving name of Jesus,

Lisa Hosler
President
