Herm & Vince Music Duo Makes Lancaster Stops on 2022 Roots Music Tour

The Herm & Vince Mission: Spreading Love, Life, and Healing Through Music
Herm & Vince (Weaver and Buckwalter) are coming to Lancaster for several music performances over the August 13-14 weekend as part of their '22 Roots Tour. Visit www.hermandvince.com

The lifelong friends and singer-songwriters reunite after meeting in 1977 at Hesston College (Kan.) The duo is performing at ten locales in 2022, with original vocals, mixed in with acoustic guitar and piano. Songs come from music written long ago and brand new compositions: Americana, Sacred and Simple, and Inspirational. Old tunes harken back to times of innocence and searching. The new brings together honest music perspectives from forty
years of living in Goodness and Joy.

Gift contributions are welcome to be made at events, as well as online at any time. Friends, family, and those new to the duo are invited to attend and help advance the Herm & Vince Mission. For more information, go to "Herm and Vince" on Facebook or at HermandVince.com.

Training in Ministry Information

Whether you're a pastor, ministry leader, or just seeking to serve Jesus faithfully in a rapidly dechurching culture, Rosedale Bible College invites you to our campus, August 18-20, for a Training in Ministry leadership formation retreat. Karl Vaters will explore God's purpose, heart, and intent for His church today. This weekend will also include times of rest, prayer, worship and fellowship. We hope you join us for a weekend of spiritual renewal and restored hope.

Sessions

This year's retreat features five sessions.

  1. Redefining Success In Ministry

  3. How to Discover and Use What Your Church Does Well

SEED Church Leadership Program
In Matthew 13 Jesus says the Kingdom of God is like a mustard seed that grows into a tree where the birds of the air can find rest and a home in its branches.
SEED is designed to equip cross-cultural leaders who are helping to grow the church and welcome different cultures and languages to the United States.  It is specially designed for second-language learners and helps leaders serve as cultural bridges within their congregations and communities.  It is a three-year program that meets two Saturday mornings a week from September through May.
Contact Dawn Landes for more information:
cdlandes@habeckerchurch.com.
A group of residents at Landis Homes is inviting the public to attend a seminar by Linda Ferich. The event will take place Wednesday, September 7th from 6-8 pm in a tent located on the campus at 1001 East Oregon Road, Lititz PA.  Ferich will talk about planting native plant gardens and landscapes that reduce stormwater runoff and create environments for pollinators and other wildlife to thrive. In her program, Linda will explain the essential elements wildlife needs to survive: food, water, cover, and places to raise young while integrating sustainable gardening and landscape practices. For more information on this event, please call Dave Martin, 717-519-2691 or Nancy Parker, 717-295-7055.

August 2022
The East Cocalico Township Police Department is hosting National Night Out again this year. The event is scheduled for Tuesday August 2nd and will be held at the Reamstown Park. There will be free food, games and entertainment. The event runs from 6pm until 9pm. Instead of doing the Back to School Bash on our own this year, we will be handing out backpacks at National Night Out! Hear from one of our parents about her experience with the backpacks!

"The backpack program is amazing. When Jordan was ready to go to school, we had no idea how we were gonna get his school supplies and backpack. I got an email from REAL Life saying that they had everything kids needed for school. I was so overjoyed and went to see. They had games and prizes when you pick them up! It was a huge help!! I highly recommend it! We have been doing it ever since!!" - A happy parent!
THIS FRIDAY is our First Friday Food Drive!
Power Packs Registration now open— Cocalico School District families that qualify for free and reduced lunches also qualify for Power Packs, a weekly educational program with a healthy recipe, the main ingredients to make that recipe, and a couple of staple food items, like milk and eggs!

Summer is a time of family fun, getting away, and taking a break from our worries and struggles in life!
With the busyness of summer, we usually see a decline in donations when there is usually a decline in need to balance it out. Unfortunately, this summer, we've seen an increase in homelessness, food insecurity, and poverty! Would you consider giving us a one-time gift to help further our mission to Connect the Community to Hope?!  Click the button below, or mail a check to;
