At Good Samaritan Services, we firmly believe that families are stronger, healthier, and more successful when they are in their own housing.
Homelessness and housing insecurity has traumatic effects on mothers and children. Mothers often experience depression for several years after experiencing a housing crisis. When children experience homelessness or housing insecurity their mental health, physical health and educational performance is negatively impacted. So they can quickly transition to permanent housing and steer clear of an episode of homelessness, Good Samaritan Services provides nearly $100,000 every year in rental assistance to families at risk of becoming homeless who are often living doubled up or facing eviction; as well as to mothers and children who are already homeless. We provide professional case management services to help families work towards self-sufficiency. We provide support to nearly 80 families every year.
Clearly, in so many ways, for so many reasons, It's Good to be Home! Won't you please join us in helping more families in our community to feel secure in their homes? Your commitment to our rental assistance campaign can be as little as one dollar a day, but it can make the difference of a lifetime for a family struggling to keep a roof overhead. Details on the campaign and how you can make a big difference can be found here.

Across the years, friends of Bridge of Hope Lancaster & Chester Counties, and friends of Good Samaritan Shelter have graciously identified these organizations through a variety of financial instruments including charitable gift annuities, charitable trusts and other bequests.
Now that our two organizations are one, our boards have merged, and our name has changed; but we hope that you recognize that our mission and services remain the same!
In order to assure that our work continues, and to assure that your support for our mission reaches long into the future, we respectfully request that you advise your attorney or account manager to stipulate that your legacy gift be directed to Good Samaritan Services. Thank you! | | Nurturing Hope for 20 Years: Get your tickets for our 20th Annual Garden Luncheon.
