World Refugee Day is today. UNHCR just released the 2018 Impact Report, and announced that there are officially more than 70 million refugees and displaced people in the world-- a number that has grown by nearly 2 million in just 2 years. We must find a permanent solution to the crisis, and permanent resettlement to a third country is a part of that solution. Please join us today, as we recognize World Refugee Day, to call upon our elected officials to stand on the side of refugees in the world. Here, is all the information you need to make that call TODAY. World Refugee Day is a worldwide day of recognition dedicated to honoring the resilience of the 25.4 million refugees around the globe. At CWS Lancaster, we continue our mission to welcome refugees into the community and to embrace them in all their uniqueness and beauty. CWS Lancaster is celebrating World Refugee Day with a series of events in June! Each event will provide you with an opportunity to stand in solidarity with our neighbors:

On June 23rd, join us at Tellus 360 for the 4th Annual Concert for Refugees and Immigrants-- a night of family friendly music and activities in celebration of refugees and immigrants, and all they they bring to the community. Come enjoy music from local artists as well as our talented new neighbors! All donations benefit refugees and immigrants served through the CWS Lancaster Immigration and Refugee Program. They'll be competing for the Cup and the title of Lancasters' World Champions June 22nd and 23rd. There will be food vendors and award presentations on the 23rd along with the championship match!
