Dear HMS parents, ,
Sixteen teams teed off last Tuesday, June 18, at the beautiful French Creek Golf Club in Elverson. The annual benefit golf outing raised over $13,000 of net proceeds for our school's annual operating needs. In addition to the fun and networking, we enjoyed two delicious meals and beautiful weather! Congratulations! Sponsor Tim Martin and his foursome, Nathaniel Martin, Ted Maack, Shawn Han, won the event with a scramble score of 59. Ted Miller and his foursome from Miller's Building Supply and Co., Inc. took the runner-up slot.
Two surprises for the day . . . HOLE-IN-ONE HMS patron Russ Akinin made our first-ever hole-in-one at an HMS event. Russ is pictured here receiving a Hole #5 commemorative flag from French Creek Director of Golf, Mike Timmons (center) and HMS Director of Advancement, Jody Fausnight (right). Akinin's 106-yard hole-in-one won him a Club Glove travel bag set, underwritten by Rocky Ridge Auto Sales, Inc. for the benefit outing's three-par holes. POOL-IN-THE-POND WINNER A lot of excitement surrounded a unique "pool in the pond" contest where golfers took a shot from the back patio of the club house into a pool anchored in the middle of a pond. Joe Leaman of CCAB Insurance & Benefits, Inc. won the $300 cash prize.
We are grateful for the many golfers, sponsors, and donors of goods, services and prize items for the event. Sponsors are recognized below.
