Her presentation on "Diagnosis, Symptoms & Treatment of Bipolar Disorder" will be followed by a time of sharing in small groups. The monthly meetings provide a place for those who have a loved one living with mental illness to learn and share their experiences. The next meeting of the Parkinson's Support Group will take place Mon, June 17, 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm. Topic: "Research Update", and "Difference Between Parkinson's Disease and Parkinsonism" Speaker: Dr. Xuemei Huang, movement disorder specialist from Hershey Medical Center. The meeting will be held in the West-view Community Room on the campus of Landis Homes. Persons with Parkinson's Disease and their caregivers are welcome to attend for education and support. Quilts will be sold at the September 14th Benefit Auction to support the Caring Fund. | | Music in the Orchard highlights local artists Music fills the orchard at the 1719 Hans Herr House & Museum this summer featuring some of Central Pennsylvania's best local performers. Music in the Orchard showcases local musicians during concerts on June 22, July 6 and 20, and August 3, each starting at 6 p.m. Music in the Orchard returns to the 1719 Hans Herr House & Museum for another summer highlighting local artists. Concerts are every other week, June 8 through August 3, beginning at 6 p.m. in the bucolic Herr House orchard. Tickets are available on site and cost $8 per person, children under 12 are free; no advance registration is required. Chairs are not provided. Food and beverages will be available, including Herr House smoked sausage. Attendees are also welcome to bring a picnic dinner to eat as they listen. The 1719 Hans Herr House and Museum is an alcohol- and smoke-free environment. Concerts are held rain or shine. In inclement weather, the concert will move into the implement shed on the 1719 Hans Herr House & Museum grounds. In cases of severe weather, cancellations will be announced by 3 p.m. on the day of the concert. This event is one of over forty Lancaster Roots 2019 events. Lancaster Roots combines the events of the Lancaster Mennonite Historical Society, 1719 Herr House & Museum, and Mennonite Information Center.

Ken is uniquely equipped to speak with authority and overs valuable insight to the current debate around gender and human sexuality.
