The No Longer Alone Family Support Group, now supported by Landis Communities, will meet the fourth Sunday of the month. The guest speaker for February will be Janelle Bitikofer, MSW, LCSW, author and Director at We Rise International. Her presentation "Sharing the LEAP Approach" will be followed by a time of sharing.  The public meeting is scheduled for Sunday, February 26, 2023 from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. by Zoom, due to the chance of inclement weather. Meetings will return to Landis Communities in April 2023.  The monthly meetings provide a place for those who have a loved one living with mental illness to learn and share their experiences. For information on joining the Zoom meeting or to receive a monthly meeting reminder, call 717-381-3599 or email JAlbright@landis.org by noon on Friday, February 24.

1719 Museum offers Tour Guide Training

Did you know that Mennonite immigrants were some of the first European settlers of Lancaster County? Learn more about their story and that of the indigenous people of this area and share that story with others. Consider becoming a volunteer tour guide at the 1719 Museum, site of Herr House and Lancaster Longhouse. A five-week long tour guide training will be offered on Saturday mornings, beginning on February 11, 2023. Volunteer guides are asked to commit to at least one tour date per month from April through October; scheduling is flexible. The 1719 Museum is located at 1849 Hans Herr Drive, Willow Street, PA 17584. For more information, contact
Lois Miklas at museum@mennonitelife.org or 717.464.4438.

Share an article for the Pennsylvania Mennonite Heritage journal

Do you have a family story that demonstrates what it has meant to be a Mennonite? Consider sharing your family story with Mennonite Life for consideration in Pennsylvania Mennonite Heritage, a quarterly journal covering history, culture, religious thought and family histories of Amish and Mennonite-related groups originating in Pennsylvania. Send your idea or story to pmh@mennonitelife.org for consideration.
