UPDATES These bi-weekly UPDATES are shared so that leaders and congregations are aware of events and information taking place in LMC, agencies, fraternal organizations, congregations, and the broader church. These announcements are for your information and to share with others in your congregation through email, weekly bulletin, monthly newsletter, Sunday morning announcements, church website, or Facebook. Use your discretion and share what your congregation will find helpful. | | LMC Office Events & Information | | Remember LMC in your year-end giving. Your donation will help LMC continue its mission of providing support and resources to churches and congregations. | | LMC resource partner organizations' Events & Information | | EMM and LMC are thankful for the volunteer receptionists we have now, but we need a few more. Currently, there is a regular Tuesday afternoon shift available as well as substitute receptionists needed to fill the shifts when regular volunteers can't make it. General responsibilities include welcoming guests to EMM and LMC offices, answering the phone, and transferring calls. The role includes occasional and light projects such as collating or folding things, but there will be time to do personal reading or projects. We'd like to invite you to write to Jeanette Hunt at jeanette.hunt@emm.org or 717-898-2251 for more information. | | Kairos course March 22 - April 5 Parkview Mennonite Church 57 E Church St, Reamstown, PA 17567 EMM is offering this course which is for Christians at any point in their journey with God, guiding each participant into a biblical worldview. It is not strictly a course about the "harvest" but a course which focuses on the "harvesters." It is an opportunity for all God's people to be transformed and aligned with God's heart for the nations. It uses a unique combination of facilitated introductions, reading, videos, group discussions, special activities, and prayer for unreached people. Kairos is one of several mobilization tools produced by Simply Mobilizing International, based in the Philippines but active in over 100 countries around the world. Register by March 21, 2025 The registration fee covers materials, refreshments, and lunches. For questions, please contact Krista Martin.
