Prayers of gratitude and intercession

September 2019: The xenophobic migrant attacks unleashed early in September in South Africa have caused fear, hatred, deaths, serious property damage and triggered revengeful acts in other African countries where South African companies and shops have been destroyed; and South Africans are being told to go back home. We need prayers for peace, unity and knowledge of Christ in people's hearts. Jesus is the Prince of peace and we all need him. September 2019: Praise God for the consecration of the first Mennonite bishop in Uganda. MWC Deacons Commission secretary Henk Stenvers and MWC vice president Rebecca Osiro shared a message on the love of Christ, the historical background of the Mennonite Movement and the current scope of the global family through MWC. Praise God for the mission activities of this new MWC member church. Read more.


September 2019: May God help us listen to perspectives of those on the margins of society. May we see God's story through the lenses of those who are oppressed. May this perspective help us to better understand the good news that transforms us and brings peace.
