Pathways Institute for Lifelong Learning The Fall 2019 term of the Pathways Institute for Lifelong Learning® announces its upcoming classes. The new Pathways Institute catalog along with online registration forms are available here. The courses and events are open to all Lancaster County residents as well as residents from neighboring counties, who are age 55 years or above. There is a registration fee which includes enrollment in to up to 8 courses per semester as well as a per course option. There are also day trips and special events which are offered in addition to the regular classes. Most classes are held on the Landis Homes campus which is located at 1001 East Oregon Road, Lititz. Annual Storytelling night Hear life stories from Keith Weaver and Linda Gehman Peachy at 7 p.m. on Monday, September 9, at Stumptown Mennonite Church. Weaver is a bishop and moderator of LMC. Hearth Cooking —Learn colonial cooking techniques, making food on an open hearth on Saturday, September 21, from 10am to 12pm. Class will take place in theKüche (kitchen) of the Herr House. Beginner classes run Thursdays, 7 to 9 p.m., from September 10 through November 12. Intermediate classes are on Tuesdays, 7 to 9 p.m., September 12 through November 14. Maize and Snitz Fest—Celebrate the heritages of local Native American and Pennsylvania German cultures during this festival of food, crafts, and life at Herr House on Saturday, October 5 from 10am to 3pm.
