Christian + Muslim = friends?
Heard any of these ideas?
  • All Muslims are militant jihadists.
  • Jesus followers need to hide their faith when relating to Muslims.
  • Muslims are inaccessible or unapproachable.
  • Muslims already have faith and don't need the gospel.
Invite EMM's Christian/Muslim Relations Team to your church to challenge myths like these. Equip your congregation or group for life-giving interaction with Muslims. Work with the team to choose the best mix of core and optional seminar components for your context. Learn more at emm.org/peacemakers. To book a seminar, email Jonathan Bornman at peacemakers@emm.org.

Advent Day of Prayer
Saturday, December 3, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Jesuit Center for Spiritual Growth, Wernersville, Pa.

During Advent we focus on God's great Love. In her book, Wild Dancing: Embraced by Untamed Love, Janice Edwards, RSM, tells us that "Love is the sole invincible and all-embracing force of the universe." God is everlasting Love, but it is difficult for us to experience our unceasing immersion in this God, due to our limited awareness and daily distractions.

Many of us give and receive Love throughout each day, but we do not experience these happenings as God moving within and among us. During this Advent retreat Janice will invite us to treasure our innate, everyday experiences of God's Love and to embrace the vulnerability that enhances this practice. Her book will be available for purchase and signing at the retreat day.
